  1. How long have you been in business?

o      4 years

  1. What is your club/program philosophy?

o      “The Heart of the Game”. To grow the game and build community.

  1. What ages, genders, levels, instructional programs, teams, tournament play, international travel, etc. do you undertake as a group.

o      A family friendly environment for any gender players age 18 months to as old as you can play! Different programs to suite the different levels of play, full pub, events.

o      Adult and youth leagues and training.

o      Men’s, coed and women’s classes and leagues.

o      We offer full time futsal training for certain age groups, with 3x a week training and games during the Fall, Winter and Spring

o      We offer partial Futsal training for those players currently full time in outdoors teams but have the caliber to compete at the national futsal level.

o      Our competitive teams play regionally in the NW Futsal league in partnership with different facilities around Portland metro area. They also travel nationally (World Futsal Championship, USFF Nationals, etc). We have taken players to Madrid for training and games. We are taking players to Barcelona to the World Futsal Cup. We have several players attend the USA Futsal Top XII program.

o      We offer coaching education to RCF and non-RCF coaches with renowned guys such as Andres Sanz (At. Madrid) and Xavi Closas (FC Barcelona).

  1. What are your annual expectations of members, part-time members, drop-in programs, etc.?

o      RCF Portland offers adult league programming 5 nights a week in the evenings with three courts and a family friendly pub. 10-12 matches are played per night. We offer open play on Sundays for drop-in play. We have over 100 adult teams playing per week 11 months of the year. We have over 130 youth teams per weekend per facility in the Winter.

o      RCF Portland offers youth training 5 days a week on all three courts and some training on the weekend for high school and pre-school classes during the school year.

o      Both locations offer summer camps Monday - Thursday with either an all-levels camp or an advanced futsal focused camp. Fridays, we offer Be-A-Kid Friday where there is supervision but unstructured play time.

o      RCF Tigard is less than a year old with the same program offerings. As the program grows we offer more open play and more local club court rentals.

  1. What are your facilities?

o      We have two facilities. One in Northeast Portland, OR (~30,000 sq ft) and one in Tigard, OR (~40,000 sq ft). Each were converted from warehouses to include 3 full futsal courts, a family friendly pub where you can watch a game live from the deck or watch your game as it is replayed in the pub. There are partners in the building who provide services and participate in the community. 3 local soccer clubs have their offices at RCF. There is a soccer retail store at each location and a physical therapy practice providing free injury assessments. We have meeting rooms for our partners and community to reserve for meetings.

  1. What about your coaching staff?

o      Friendly, energetic and knowledgeable staff. Very international with guys from Brazil, Italy, Spain, Mexico, USA, Canada, Bolivia, and others. Former Futsal, Portland Timbers or high collegiate level of playing experience.

  1. Tell Futsal Central something special, unique, different about your organization.

o      Nothing unites a community quite like sport. Something about the activity, the team camaraderie, the desire to do better and the thrill of success creates an energy that transcends age, skill level and socio-economics. Futsal is our passion.
We like to call this  “The Heart of the Game,” and at Rose City Futsal we’ve built a home for the community that loves this game. It’s a place to play, to learn, to gather and to simply enjoy yourself with friends and family.

o      You don’t need much to join, just a love of sport, the desire to move, and the willingness to have fun. Whether you’re a kid or a grown-up, whether you’re a beginner or a superstar, whether you’re male or female, you’ll find there’s a gang here that’s ready and willing to make you feel welcome. That’s because
this is our home, this is our playground, this is our passion. And if we know nothing else, we know that life is that much richer when people come together to do something they love.

  1. What soccer or futsal organizations are you affiliated with locally, nationally, internationally, etc.

o      We have partnered with many organizations at different times and for different purposes, including: USA Futsal, USFF, NSCAA, futsalcoach.es, Futsi Atletico (Madrid), IOX Futsal (Barcelona), Nike, Oregon Adult Soccer Association, Oregon Youth Soccer Association, USDA Showcase, Timbers Army Football Club, 4 Worlds United, local high school teams, recreational teams and competitive teams. We are not currently associated with an umbrella organization.

  1. Add any comments you would like to see posted on our website.

o      Rose CIty Futsal has partnered with other local futsal facilities to run city wide youth leagues allowing for better balance in division play and allowing smaller groups of teams to combine and create divisions. This means more opportunity to play.

o      Rose City Futsal has also partnered to create a local premier division for men and women. Teams pick a home facility and play home/away matches against the best in town. This provides more opportunity for high level play and to showcase the game for the community.
